Wayne Garvie is BBC Worldwide's Managing Director of Content & Production.
Garvie took on the role in January 2006 as the director of content and production, leading the international production and format business for the corporation's commercial arm.
Garvie was responsible for developing Strictly Come Dancing, and went on to develop it for the US market as Dancing With The Stars.[1]
Also, during his time with BBC Worldwide he help set up new UK producers such as Left Bank Pictures and Cliffhanger, as well as investing in existing companies such as Baby Cow, Big Talk, Clerkenwell and Hardy Pictures.[2]
